The Marketing
System Diagnostic

Find where your engine is losing power.

Most marketing problems are not execution problems — they are system problems. A missing foundation, channels without defined roles, or effort that generates activity but never compounds.

This 10–15 minute diagnostic helps you find exactly where the drag is coming from.

WHAT’’S INSIDE

The diagnostic doesn't test your marketing knowledge. It surfaces the system gaps that cause marketing to feel disjointed, reactive, and expensive — regardless of how much you're already doing.

  • Are you executing toward something specific, or just executing?

Before channels, before content, before campaigns — there needs to be a clear answer to: what are we building this year, and how does marketing serve that? Without it, every tactic feels equally valid and nothing compounds.

  • Is your strategy built on research or assumption?

Most marketing doesn't fail because of poor execution. It fails because the foundation — who you're for, what you're offering, and why it's the right choice at the right price — was built on assumptions rather than research.

  • Does each channel have a job, or are they all doing the same thing?

The most common channel problem isn't being on the wrong platform. It's being active on multiple platforms with no defined role for any of them — so every channel is doing everything, and nothing is doing anything well.

  • Is last month's work still working for you today?

There is a meaningful difference between marketing that runs and marketing that builds. Running means every month starts over. Building means last month's work is still working for you today.

Score each statement 1–5. Find the pattern.

HOW IT WORKS

Each lens has three scored statements and one open-ended reflection prompt.

Rate each statement honestly on a scale from 1 (not in place) to 5 (fully in place and consistently used to make decisions).

Your total score out of 60 matters less than the pattern. The lens where you score lowest is where your system is losing the most power right now.

"The total score matters less than the pattern."
